hi,
i'm new to these forums, so i'll appologize for any newbie mistakes that i make in advance my question is: can you run the edsa and autocad license manager on the same server? i'm assuming that they use the same port since they both use flexlm for their license service. Or, is the question not really a problem, since flexlm should support license files from both products as long as the flexlm server can find the .lic file. i think i just answered my own question, but does anyone have experience with this issue?? thanks in advance, Dave |

We use a different Daemon than AutoCAD so you should not run into any problems. The only time problems can occur is if both License Managers have the same Daemon, which we make sure we don't.

when you refer to the "daemon" for each license manager, are they not both flexlm based and use the same tcp port (774)? one of the programs is gonna bind to the port..

the daemons use different "names" so there should be no conflict
